Deetlefs Stonecross Shiraz
Dark red/purple colour. Good example of a fruit forward Shiraz style. On the nose there are aromas of bilberry, blackberry and violet with a hint of truffle. Wine also shows typical pepper spiciness. The wine has very soft round entry. Raspberry and blackberry flavours with a good savoury olive tapenade finish. There are also hints of rosemary and lavender. Grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness with the emphasis on fruit that will express maximum varietal characteristics with no overripe jammy aromas.
